How can we help?

Most answers are below. If yours isn’t, write to us.

Contact

[support e-mail — to be filled in before release]

Tell us your joopik version (Settings) and what happened. Never send your password or PINs — we will never ask for them.

Your library

Where is my data?

In the library folder you chose — by default %USERPROFILE%\joopik. The Library field in Settings shows where it is, and Open library folder at the bottom left opens it in File Explorer.

How do I back up, or move to another PC?

Close the app and copy the whole library folder. While the app is running, use Settings → Tools → Create backup… instead.

On the other PC, choose that folder with Other library…. You will need to sign in to Instagram again there.

Does uninstalling delete my data?

No. The library folder stays where it is. Install joopik again and open the same folder.

PIN and hidden library

I forgot my app PIN

Create an empty file whose name starts with PIN-RESET (for example PIN-RESET.txt) in the library folder, then start the app again and set a new PIN. Your data stays as it is.

I forgot my hidden library PIN

The PIN-RESET file resets only the 4-digit app PIN. The hidden library is encrypted with its own 6-digit PIN, which is stored nowhere. If you forget it, the hidden library cannot be opened again — not by you, and not by us.

To start the hidden library over, close the app and delete the hidden folder .store inside the library folder. Everything in it is lost.

Saving posts

Saving stopped

When Instagram limits requests, joopik pauses by itself and shows how long to wait. Press Resume afterwards.

If it asks you to sign in, sign in from Settings and saving continues.

Can my Instagram account be affected?

Saving uses your own account, and Instagram’s terms restrict automated collection, so your account could be limited temporarily or permanently. joopik spaces out its requests and stops when it detects a limit, but it cannot remove that risk.

The app

How do I change the language?

Settings → Language. Until you choose one, joopik follows the Windows display language (Same as Windows), or uses English if Windows is set to a language joopik doesn’t have.

What do I need to run joopik?

A PC with Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). joopik is installed and updated through the Microsoft Store.
